Options and Configuration
ClipMate has extensive configuration options to customize its behavior to your workflow.
Tools Menu
The Tools menu provides access to:
- Options Dialog - Main configuration interface
- Clipboard Diagnostics - Troubleshoot clipboard issues
- SQL Window - Direct database queries
- Spell Check Configuration - Configure spell checking
Standalone Options
- Auto Capture - Toggle whether ClipMate captures new clipboard updates
- Reestablish Clipboard Connection - Reset clipboard monitoring if lost
- Show Event Log - View capture and paste events for troubleshooting
Options Dialog
The Options Dialog contains settings organized into tabs:

About Settings Storage
All ClipMate settings are stored in the Windows registry. If multiple user accounts are on the same system, each user has their own settings.
Registry Reset
If settings become corrupted and you want to start over:
- Hold Ctrl+Shift while starting ClipMate
- ClipMate will ask if you want to reset the registry
